NASCAR Star Jimmie Johnson’s Title Chase Ends With Wreck In Phoenix

Jimmie Johnson’s bid for a record eighth NASCAR championship is over. UCLA Basketball Coach Benches 3 Players Arrested For Shoplifting in China

UCLA basketball players LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley, and Jalen Hill were arrested Nov. 7 in Hangzhou, China, on suspicion of shoplifting, and were accused of stealing sunglasses from a Louis Vuitton store. The freshmen were arrested just days ahead of their scheduled season opener in Shanghai. Shoplifting in China can carry a prison sentence between three and 10 years in prison. ...Read more

Former Phillies Pitcher Roy Halladay Killed In Plane Crash

Roy Halladay, an eight-time All-Star pitcher who retired from baseball in 2013, has died in a plane crash in the Gulf of Mexico off Florida. He was 40 years old.  Halladay was an eight-time All-Star in his 16-year career with the Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies. He threw a perfect game during the 2010 season and a no-hitter that postseason. ...Read more
