Former MLB Batting Champion Bill Buckner Dies At 69 Following Battle With Dementia

Bill Buckner, the former major leaguer whose error in the 1986 World Series for years lived in Red Sox infamy, died Monday. He was 69. His family said in a statement: “After battling the disease of Lewy Body Dementia, Bill Buckner passed away early the morning of May 27th surrounded by his family. Juwan Howard Returns To Michigan As Head Basketball Coach

Former Michigan star Juwan Howard has been named the new head coach of the Wolverines, the university announced Wednesday. Howard received a five-year deal, starting at $2 million annually, Michigan said. Howard replaces John Beilein, who left Michigan last week to become the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
