Chicago Cubs’ Kris Bryant Loses Service-Tme Grievance Against Team

Kris Bryant has lost his service-time grievance against the Chicago Cubs. The decision means the 28-year-old Bryant has two years left before he is eligible for free agency, instead of becoming a free agent after the 2020 season. President Trump’s legal team rested its case on the final day of opening arguments in his impeachment trial. The White House team reiterated their arguments that the allegations by the House don’t rise to the level of impeachable offenses. Ryan Zimmerman And Washington Nationals Finalize $2M, One-Year Contract

Ryan Zimmerman and the World Series champion Washington Nationals finalized a $2 million, one-year contract on Wednesday. The 35-year-old first baseman has spent his entire 15-year big league career with the Nationals.  Terms of the deal include Zimmerman being able to earn $3 million in performance bonuses, and can earn $1.5 million based on games: $250,000 each for 65, 80, 95, 110, 125 and 140. He also can get $1.5 million for plate appearances: $250,000 apiece for 250, 300, 350, 500, 450 and 500. Zimmerman also gets a full no-trade provision.  ...Read more

Selena Gomez Alleges Emotional Abuse During Past Relationship With Justin Bieber

During an interview with NPR, 27-year-old Selena Gomez spoke out about the emotional “abuse” she experienced during her on-again, off-again relationship with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.  Gomez talked about growing and moving on from the pain she felt when her romance with Bieber ended in March 2018 saying: “I’ve found the strength in it.
