Snowstorms Strand U.S. Holiday Travelers As Hundreds Of Flights Are Cancelled

Weather officials said that many holiday travelers were stuck at airports on the final day of Thanksgiving weekend, this after more than 600 flights were canceled due to an incoming blizzard in parts of the Midwest. According the National Weather Service., blizzard warnings were issued in areas stretching across northeast Kansas to Chicago, with snow already falling in some regions including Kansas, central Missouri, southeast Nebraska and southern Iowa. ...Read more

Migrants Enveloped In Tear Gas After Heading Towards U.S. Border

Migrants approaching the U.S. border from Mexico were enveloped with tear gas Sunday. this after some of the migrants breached the fence separating the two countries. Earlier Sunday, several hundred Central American migrants pushed past a blockade of Mexican police who were standing guard near the international border crossing to pressure the U.S to hear their asylum claims. San Francisco 49ers Release Reuben Foster After Domestic Violence Arrest

On Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers said they plan to release linebacker Reuben Foster after he was arrested at the team hotel in Tampa, Florida on a domestic violence charge. Foster was arrested by Tampa police at 9:10 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt hotel where the team was staying before playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, charged with one count of first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence.  He was booked into jail at 11:11 p.m. Saturday and was being held on $2,000 bail, according to an arrest report from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s office. ...Read more

U.S. Missionary Killed By Isolated Tribe On Remote Island In India

Police say that American Christian missionary John Allen Chau was killed by islanders after paying fishermen to take him to the isolated island of North Sentinel in India. The remote island’s natives are so hostile and isolated, authorities now hesitate to go in and retrieve his body. Police in India said Chau was killed last week on an unauthorized visit to North Sentinel, where people live as their ancestors did thousands of years ago and where outsiders are seen with suspicion and attacked. President Trump Trump Delivers Thanksgiving Message To U.S. Service Members

President Donald Trump used a Thanksgiving Day call to troops to air grievances about the courts, trade and migrants heading to the U.S.-Mexico border. Trump’s call was made from his private Mar-a-Lago club as he spoke with members of all five branches of the military to wish them happy holidays. Trump said, “It’s a disgrace” regarding judges who have blocked his attempts to overhaul U.S. immigration law. Katy Perry took home the top honors for 2018 on Forbes’ annual list of the highest-paid women in music.  Perry earned $83 million for the year starting June 1, 2017, beating out fellow powerhouses Taylor Swift ($80 million), Beyoncé ($60 million) and Pink ($52 million).  Numbers are based on “Nielsen SoundScan, NPD BookScan, insider interviews and Forbes estimates,” according to the publication.  ...Read more
