The Boston Celtics announced that Marcus Smart will miss 4-6 weeks as the result of a “partial avulsion of his left oblique abdominal muscle off of his iliac crest.” The Celtics guard has suffered a tear of his oblique muscle — an injury will keep the Celtics guard on the bench for at least the team’s first two playoff series. Chip And Joanna Gaines To Launch Their Own Cable Network In 2020

On Wednesday, Discovery announced that Chip and Joanna Gaines will soon be getting their own cable TV channel as part of the launch of a new multi-platform media company led by the pair. The still unnamed network will debut in summer 2020 and take over the space currently occupied by the DIY Network, which reaches 52 million US homes, Discovery said. One Dead, 15 Injured In North Carolina Gas Explosion

Police in North Carolina said that a gas explosion partially collapsed a North Carolina building and set it ablaze on Wednesday morning, killing one person and injuring more than a dozen. Durham Police Department public affairs manager Wil Glenn said a contractor boring under a sidewalk hit a 2-inch gas line, triggering the explosion. AMC Launching A Third ‘Walking Dead’ Series For 2020

AMC has announced it is green-lighting a third scripted series set in the world of The Walking Dead. According to the network, the series “will feature two young female protagonists and focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes.
