New Season Of “Doctor Who” To Premiere On New Year’s Day: Watch The New Trailer

BBC America announced that the second season of the time travel show “Doctor Who” starring Jodie Whittaker will premiere 8 p.m. ET on New Year’s Day. The season will begin with a two-part episode titled “Spyfall.” The network also announced that it has partnered with BBC Studios and Fathom Events to screen the premiere episode on over 600 cinema screens on Jan. 5. The event will include a Q&A with Whittaker and fellow cast members Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill transmitted from The Paley Center for Media in New York. Elizabeth Banks Set To Star And Direct “The Invisible Woman” Movie

Following her directing and acting in the Charlie’s Angels movie, Elizabeth Banks will now direct and star in The Invisible Woman for Universal Pictures. The announcement of The Invisible Woman caused some confusion as the movie The Invisible Man, directed by Leigh Whannell and starring Elisabeth Moss (as a woman plagued by her abusive and newly invisible ex, played by Oliver Jackson-Cohen) is set for release soon.  However The Invisible Woman is a separate Universal release, based on an original concept by Banks. Nine Killed, Including Two Children, In South Dakota Plane Crash

A plane crash near Chamberlain, South Dakota over the weekend left nine people dead, two of whom were children, according to officials. Brule County State’s Attorney Theresa Maule Rossow said in a statement that the plane departed from Chamberlain for Idaho when it crashed in rural Brule County. Of the 12 passengers onboard, nine were killed, including two minor children and the pilot. The three survivors were transported to Sioux Falls for treatment. The victims ranged in ages from 7 to 81, with three survivors were men, ages 17, 27 and 28. A spokesman for the National Transportation Safety Board said they are investigating the crash of the Pilatus PC-12, but stormy weather is preventing officials from inspecting the scene. ...Read more
