20 Dead and 100s Injured In Las Vegas Mass Shooting

More than 20 people were killed and 100 injured when what appears to be a lone gunman opened fire from a perch high up in the the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas Sunday night, police said.  Las Vegas Police Department said the suspected gunman was believed to be a local and was on 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay hotel. Miami Marlins Giancarlo Stanton Brings Home Run Total To 59

Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton hit his 58th and 59th home runs Thursday against the Atlanta Braves, the most since Sammy Sosa and Barry Bonds did so in 2001.   Bonds set the all-time home run record with 73 in 2001, whie Sosa hit 64 homers. Green Bay Packers’ Davante Adams Taken Off Field After Hit

Green Bay Packers’ Davante Adams, a fourth-year receiver, was taken to a local hospital after he took a helmet-to-helmet hit from linebacker Danny Trevathan of the Chicago Bears at Thursday night’s game.  The Packers said Adams was conscious and had feeling in all of his extremities. Puerto Rico Under Flash Flood Watch While Awaiting Supplies and Assistance

Puerto Rico is under a flash flood watch as the ongoing wait for food and supplies continues in the US island after Hurricane Maria hit more than a week ago.  Heavy rain is expected through the weekend, which “will aggravate the ongoing recovery and relief efforts,” the National Weather Service said.  Federal officials say aid has been delivered across the island, however millions of residents are still without electricity, water or gas. ...Read more

Trump’s Inaugural Committee to Donate $3 Million to Hurricane Relief

After coming under fire for a delay in donating its remaining funds to charity, President Trump’s inaugural committee plans to give $3 million to three organizations involved in hurricane rescue efforts, officials said on Tuesday.  Chairman of the private Presidential Inaugural Committee, Thomas J.
