Patriots Julian Edelman Helps Stop Potential School Shooting After Instagram Comment

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman may have helped thwart a school shooting when one of his Instagram followers brought to his attention a troubling comment on one of his posts. Edelman said that a follower of his messaged him in March about a threatening comment that appeared on one of Edelman’s posts; he told his assistant to look for the comment and alert police. The comment read, “I’m going to shoot my school up watch the news.” The comment was then traced to a house in Port Huron, Michigan, where a 14-year-old boy admitted to posting the threat. Two rifles belonging to the boy’s mother were found in the house, and the boy is now being held in juvenile detention. Edelman credits the Instagram user who first told him about the comment, saying “Thankfully, this kid said something. We’re going to send him something, a care package, just for his work. He’s the real hero.” ...Read more

Actress Jaime King Speaks Out On Violent Attack Against Her & Her Son

Jaime King has posted on her Instagram about the terrifying act of violence that occurred against her, her four-year-old son James Knight, and her friend Judit Balogh on April 4 in Beverly Hills. The actress wrote a note to her fans, thanking them for support and noting that many of the facts that have been released are not accurate. “James Knight is very shaken up, as am I. Facebook Inc said on Wednesday that the personal information of up to 87 million users may have been improperly shared with political consultancy Cambridge Analytica, up from a previous news media estimate of more than 50 million. Most of the 87 million people whose data was shared with Cambridge Analytica were in the United States, Facebook Chief Technology Officer Mike Schroepfer wrote in a blog post.  Last month, Facebook acknowledged that personal information about millions of users wrongly ended up in the hands of Cambridge Analytica, which worked on U.S. President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign. Schroepfer did not provide details of how Facebook came to determine its higher estimate, but he said Facebook would tell people if their information may have been improperly shared with Cambridge Analytica. ...Read more

We felt like we needed a No. 2 quarterback. You look at the veteran quarterbacks out there … I mean, where we’re at right now, I’m pretty excited about this player. I’m really feeling like we got a steal.” ...Read more
