Packers WR Trevor Davis Arrested After Making Bomb Joke At LAX

Police confirmed that Green Bay Packers wide receiver Trevor Davis was arrested Sunday at Los Angeles International Airport for making “criminal threats” while checking in. According to police, Davis and a female companion were checking in at the Hawaiian Airlines ticket counter Sunday morning when the ticket agent “asked the usual questions about whether he was carrying any aerosol, cans, knives, weapons or explosives” when Davis then turned to his companion and said something to the effect of “Yeah, did you pack the explosives?”  Airport police were called after Davis made the joke and arrested him on a misdemeanor charge of making a bomb threat. According to reports Davis was booked into a Los Angeles jail after noon on Sunday, but released shortly after posting $15,000 bail. ...Read more

President Trump Vows Quick Response To Syria Chemical Attack

President Donald Trump promised quick action on Monday in response to a “barbaric” suspected chemical weapons attack in Syria and made clear that all options, including military action, were on the table. Trump, who was speaking at a Cabinet meeting, said he was meeting with military and other advisers and a decision would be made within 48 hours and might come as soon as the end of the day. “Nothing is off the table,” he said when asked if U.S. military action was a possibility. The suspected chemical weapons attack late Saturday night killed at least 60 people and injured more than 1,000 in several sites in Douma, a city near the capital city of Damascus, according to a Syrian aid organization. ...Read more

FBI Raids President Trump Lawyer Michael Cohen’s Office

The FBI has raided the office of Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s personal attorney, seizing materials and documents from his office including content related to his payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels (also known as Stephanie Clifford). Law enforcement agents conducted searches Monday at Mr. Cohen’s New York office and New York residence. A court warrant authorizing the raid was obtained. It is unclear what investigation the raid stems from. Cohen has admitted paying Clifford $130,000 after she said she had an affair with President Trump over a decade ago. Cohen has cooperated with authorities and turned over documents to congressional investigators looking into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. ...Read more

Patrick Reed Wins The 2018 Masters, Beating Rickie Fowler By A Stroke

Patrick Reed held off a rally from Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler, carding a 1-under-par-71 on Sunday to give him his first major win and green jacket at the 2018 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. Reed finished the tournament at 15-under-par. Reed, who had been ahead since the second round, led Rory McIlroy by three shots overnight. McIlroy, chasing his first Green Jacket to complete the Grand Slam, faded with a two-over 74, while Reed parred the last to shoot 71 and win on 15 under. Fowler ended second, one ahead of Spieth, who had nine birdies in a 64.  The 27-year old Reed said: “I knew it was going to be tough. Junior Hockey Team Bus Crash In Canada Leaves 14 Dead And 15 Injured

Fourteen people died and 15 more were injured in a crash involving a bus carrying a junior hockey team in Saskatchewan, Canada, and a semi truck, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. 29 people, including the bus driver, were on the bus containing the Humboldt Broncos, during the 5 p.m. crash. Some of the people are in critical condition; the driver of the semi-truck was not injured. An initial investigation has revealed that the semi-truck was traveling west on Highway 335 as the team bus was going north on Highway 35. The Humboldt Broncos were on their way to play the Nipawin Hawks in a Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League playoff game. The team has players ages 16 through 21. Fox News Channel host Laura Ingraham is expected back at work Monday. She was on a one-week vacation that served as a cooling-off period. She has faced backlash by advertisers upset over her tweet mocking a Parkland, Florida, school shooting survivor. many companies say they’ll no longer advertise with Ingraham. Ingraham picked up a strong statement of support from her boss. She also got unexpected backing from liberal talk show host Bill Maher late Friday. Arnold Schwarzenegger Returns Home After Successful Heart Surgery

Arnold Schwarzenegger has reportedly left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after successful cardiac surgery. The procedure was put in place by medical interventionists responding to a resurgence of Arnold’s congenital heart defect, which he first received treatment for in 1997. Schwarzenegger had been tweeting from his hospital bed since Thursday, giving his supporters an update on his condition. He also showed gratitude over his bedside care in his latest tweet, saying in part, “I went to sleep expecting to wake up with a small incision and woke up with a big one – but guess what? I woke up, and that’s something to be thankful for. Thank you to the doctors & nurses. And I’m truly filled with gratitude for all of the kind messages.” Schwarzenegger’s spokesman, Daniel Ketchell, confirmed the news of his return, citing he was alive and well. 3 Dead, 20 Injured After Van Plows Into Crowd In Germany

Three people are dead and 20 were injured after a van plowed into a group of people in the German city of Münster Saturday. The driver of the van shot himself after the incident and was included in the casualty count. While officials have not announced the van driver’s identity or motive, but multiple German outlets reported that the suspect was a 48-year-old German man named Jens R. One German news agency said the suspect had connections to the right-wing extremist scene, though there is no current indication that the suspect himself was an extremist. ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ Breaks Record For Most Watched Unscripted Cable Premiere In 6 Years

The premiere of MTV’s Jersey Shore Family Vacation proved to be a huge success for the cable network. The new series became the most watched unscripted cable series premiere in six years. The show’s first two episodes, which were part of a back-to-back two-hour special, averaged a score of 2.96 in the 18-34 demographic—higher than the 2012 season finale. Jersey Shore Family Vacation was also a big hit on social media, with the hashtag #JSFamilyVacation trending for seven hours in the United States on Twitter. The series’ success on social media may have also had to do with it being a global premiere, which was a first for MTV.
