Apollo 12 Astronaut Richard Gordon Jr. Has Died

Apollo 12 astronaut Richard “Dick” F. Gordon Jr., one of a dozen men who flew around the moon but didn’t land there, has died at 88. Gordon flew on Gemini 11 in 1966, walking in space twice. In 1969, Gordon circled the moon in the Apollo 12 command module Yankee Clipper while crewmates Alan Bean and Charles Conrad landed and walked on the lunar surface. UCLA Basketball Coach Benches 3 Players Arrested For Shoplifting in China

UCLA basketball players LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley, and Jalen Hill were arrested Nov. 7 in Hangzhou, China, on suspicion of shoplifting, and were accused of stealing sunglasses from a Louis Vuitton store. The freshmen were arrested just days ahead of their scheduled season opener in Shanghai. Shoplifting in China can carry a prison sentence between three and 10 years in prison. ...Read more

Amazon has opened up an investigation into Transparent star Jeffrey Tambor after sexual harassment allegations were made against him. No other details are available at this time, as the investigation is in its early stages. Disney Ends Ban On Los Angeles Times Amid Fierce Backlash

Amid a growing backlash, the Walt Disney Company on Tuesday reversed its decision to bar The Los Angeles Times from press screenings of its movies following an investigation by the newspaper into the media giant’s business dealings in Anaheim. Roy Halladay, an eight-time All-Star pitcher who retired from baseball in 2013, has died in a plane crash in the Gulf of Mexico off Florida. He was 40 years old.  Halladay was an eight-time All-Star in his 16-year career with the Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies.
