Paul George Re-Signs With Oklahoma City Thunder For 4-Year $137M Contract

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Paul George has agreed to a four-year, $137M deal to stay with the team. George was thought to be considering going to the L.A. Lakers, but surprised the NBA world by re-signing with OKC. His deal contains a player option for Year 4, but the forward will remain alongside Russell Westbrook for the next few years with the Thunder in the competitive Western Conference. George averaged 21.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game in 2017-18. ...Read more

‘Keep Families Together’ March Draws Celebrities Nationwide

At more than 600 locations, hundreds of thousands of people turned out across the U.S. Saturday to rally for immigrant families to demand that the government reunite kids separated from their parents at the border. Celebrities were among the masses at “Keep Families Together” marches in NYC, Washington D.C. and L.A, including Kerry Washington, Amy Schumer, Padma Lakshmi, Lin-Manuel Miranda, America Ferrera and Lea Thompson. Cast Of “Breaking Bad” To Reunite At San Diego Comic-Con For Show’s 10th Anniversary

The cast of AMC’s hit series “Breaking Bad” will return to the San Diego Convention Center this year for a 10th-anniversary reunion. Series stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are set to return with the show’s A-star lineup, including Dean Norris, Anna Gunn, Bob Odenkirk, Giancarlo Esposito, Betsy Brandt, Jonathan Banks, and RJ Mitte. Series creator Vince Gilligan will also be in town for the Q&A panel. The panel also joins AMC’s “Better Call Saul,” the “Breaking Bad” spin-off following Odenkirk’s character, for a panel scheduled for an hour prior. Fans recall the series follows New Mexico chemistry teacher Walter White’s (Cranston) fall into the drug trade, as he tries to secure a financial future for his family after a cancer diagnosis. In addition to the reunion, an exclusive vinyl LP with score highlights from series composer Dave Porter will also be released at Comic-Con. Tim Allen Reveals ‘Last Man Standing’ Season 7 Premiere Date On Fox

On Thursday, Tim Allen shared on Twitter that  “Last Man Standing” officially has a premiere date. “Mark your calendar for Sept. 28th! @LastManStanding #LastManStanding,” he captioned a picture of himself holding actress Nancy Travis, who plays his wife on the show.  Last month, it was announced the series was picked up by Fox for Season 7 after ABC canceled the popular show. “When I heard the offer to create more episodes of ‘Last Man Standing,’ I did a fist pump so hard I threw my back out,” he admitted. “It’s the fans! I could not be more grateful for the fans who wrote petitions and kept up the passion and incredible support for the show.” Along with Allen and Travis, the show’s original cast, Jonathan Adams, Amanda Fuller, Christoph Sanders and Jordan Masterson, will also return. Wayne Rooney Agrees To DC United Transfer On 3.5-Year Contract

DC United confirmed on Thursday they have agreed a deal with Everton to sign Wayne Rooney. The transfer was made official via United’s Twitter account. United confirmed the deal was for three-and-a-half years. Rooney is scheduled to make his debut on July 14 against Vancouver Whitecaps, the first at the brand new Audi Field venue.Rooney will earn a salary of $13 million (£10 million) with his new club. The transfer brings an end to Rooney’s second spell with Everton in the summer of 2017 from Manchester United. In the 2017-18 campaign, Rooney finished as the Toffees’ top scorer in the Premier League with 10 goals. ...Read more

NFL Suspends Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston For Three Games

The NFL suspended Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston for the first three games of the season on Thursday. The suspension stems from a seven-month investigation into allegations that Winston allegedly groped a female Uber driver in March 2016 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The 24-year-old quarterback will be suspended without pay for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, the league said in a statement. The suspension will cause the fourth-year quarterback to miss the Buccaneers’ season opener on the road against the New Orleans Saints followed by two home games against the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers. ...Read more

5 People Dead In Shooting At Maryland’s Capital Gazette Newsroom

Five people are dead and several others are injured after a shooting at a building where the Capital Gazette is located in Annapolis, Maryland, Thursday afternoon. The gunman, a Maryland man in his late 30s, targeted the Capital Gazette in the Annapolis shooting that killed five people, police said, and is now in custody. Police have not identified the man at this time, but he is currently being interrogated, Anne Arundel County police spokesman Lt. Ryan Frashure said at a press conference shortly after 5:30 p.m., about three hours after police first received reports of multiple gunshots fired. Officials did not have exact numbers of how many people were injured, around three people are being treated for injuries.
