SpaceX Launches 19th Cargo Mission To Space Stations Carrying Robot

SpaceX launched Falcon 9 rocket Thursday from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on the company’s 19th cargo mission to the International Space Station. Lifting off at 12:29 p.m., the rocket carried 5,700 pounds of supplies, experiments and a new version of the CIMON robot designed to interact with astronauts. Dallas Cowboys DT Antwaun Woods Arrested On Drug And Tampering Charges

Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Antwaun Woods was arrested on drug and tampering charges after police say he tried to put out a marijuana cigarette when he knew he was about to be stopped for speeding. Officer Blake Simmons wrote in a police report released on Thursday that Woods didn’t pull over immediately and told police in the Dallas suburb of Frisco he had dropped the marijuana cigarette in the half-empty water bottle before he stopped. ...Read more

Catholic Bishop In Buffalo N.Y. Resigns After Accusations Of Covering Up Abuse

The Catholic bishop of Buffalo, N.Y., has resigned following accusations he covered up clergy sex abuse of children. The Vatican didn’t give a reason when it announced on Wednesday that Pope Francis had accepted Bishop Richard Malone’s resignation, however the Vatican’s envoy to the U.S., Archbishop Christophe Pierre, said in a statement that the bishop had asked the pope last month “to grant him an early retirement” following a church investigation of the charges against him. ...Read more
