Longtime Virginia Tech Assistant Bud Foster To Retire At The End Of Season

On Thursday, Virginia Tech announced that their defensive coordinator Bud Foster will retire from coaching at the end of the upcoming college football season. The school said in a news release that Foster, who is the longest-tenured assistant coach in the Football Bowl Subdivision, will transition to a new ambassador role with the school at the end of the season. Updated 8/2/19: Katy Perry and her collaborators at her record label have to pay $2.78 million to Gray. Perry herself was hit for just over $550,000, with Capitol Records responsible for the biggest part of the award — $1.2 million. Defense attorneys had argued for an overall award of about $360,000. Explosion At Houston-Area Exxon Mobil Refinery Causes Fire, Injuries

On Wednesday, a fire broke out at an Exxon Mobil oil refinery in Texas; the latest of a series of petrochemical industry blazes this year in the Houston area, injuring at least six people. The fire began around 11 a.m. at an Exxon Mobil facility in Baytown, about 25 miles (40 kilometers) east of Houston. The city of Baytown said the fire is in an area that contains polypropylene material and that Exxon Mobil has requested some nearby residents to shelter in place as a precaution. ...Read more
