Cavaliers Point Guard George Hill Remains Questionable For Game 5 vs. Pacers

The Cleveland Cavaliers say George Hill remains questionable for Game 5 Wednesday against the Pacers due to back spasms. Hill received four injections to try to play Game 4, but missed that game on Sunday which was a 104-100 win for the Cavs. Jose Calderon started in his place and scored five points with two rebounds and two assists in 19 minutes. Coach Tyronn Lue said Hill took part in some of the shooting drills the Cavs conducted at practice Tuesday, but he largely stood to the side while teammates were shooting. Lue said if Hill could play, he would start. Hill has averaged 8.7 points and 1.7 assists through three games in this series, which is tied at two games apiece.  ...Read more

Princess Kate, Prince William Debut Newborn Son As They Leave Hospital For Kensington Palace

Prince William and Princess Kate debuted the newest member of Britain’s royal family, as they gave the world a first look at their newborn son outside the London hospital where Kate gave birth on Monday.  Kate, 36, wearing a red dress, held her third child as she exited St. Mary’s Hospital alongside William. Kate delivered the baby, weighing 8 pounds, 7 ounces, at 11:01 a.m. according to Kensington Palace.  William, 35, was present for the baby’s birth at St. Mary’s Hospital; he departed the hospital a few hours after the baby’s birth was announced, and later returned with his two other children: Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, who turns 3 on May 2.  ...Read more

Chicago Cubs’ Addison Russell Released From Hospital After Allergic Reaction Over The Weekend

Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell had to spend Sunday night in a Denver hospital after suffering an allergic reaction to something he ate on a postgame spread in the clubhouse. Russell is allergic to shellfish, and they believe something he ate was mistakenly labeled, according to an interview he held with the Chicago Sun-Times. Luckily his hospitalization and allergic reaction was brief, and Russell was feeling well enough to fly to Cleveland, rejoining the team ahead of a two-game series against the Indians. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian welcomed their newborn daughter, Tiana Gia Johnson, on Monday,. In an Instagram post, Johnson wrote, “Blessed and proud to bring another strong girl into this world. Tiana Gia Johnson came into this world like a force of nature and Mama @laurenhashianofficial labored and delivered like a true rockstar.” This is Johnson’s third daughter.  The couple welcomed their first child together, Jasmine Lia, in December 2015. 10 Dead, 15 Injured After Van Strikes Multiple Pedestrians In Toronto; Driver In Custody

Ten people were killed and 15 others injured after a white van collided with a crowd of pedestrians on a busy street north of downtown Toronto, Canada, on Monday,  The suspect was identified as Alex Minassian, 25, according to Toronto Police media representative Gary Long. Stephen Powell, district chief for Toronto Fire, confirmed that there had been multiple fatalities. The incident occurred in the North York area at the intersection of Yonge Street and Finch Avenue; Yonge Street is one of the main thoroughfares in Toronto. Ralph Goodale, the country’s minister of public safety and emergency preparedness, called the incident an attack but said he didn’t want to speculate when asked if the terrorism was to blame. “We cannot come to any firm conclusions at this stage,” he said. ...Read more

A photograph featuring four presidents paying tribute to the late Barbara Bush is being widely circulated on social media. The photo features four former presidents – Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George H. W. Bush – along with First Lady Melania Trump and former first ladies Michelle Obama, Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton. Taken this past Saturday by Paul Morse, the former White House photographer for George W. Bush, the photo was initially tweeted by Jim McGrath, a spokesperson for George H. W. Bush. President Donald Trump is absent from the photo, as he did not attend the funeral in Houston on Saturday. The president tweeted about Barbara Bush along with a photo of her White House portrait, saying “today, my thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bush family,” he wrote. “In memory of First Lady Barbara Bush, there is a remembrance display located at her portrait in the Center Hall of the @WhiteHouse. ...Read more

White Sox Relief Pitcher Danny Farquhar Suffers Brain Hemorrhage

White Sox reliever Danny Farquhar was in stable but critical condition Saturday, a day after suffering a brain hemorrhage while in the dugout during a game in Chicago. Farquhar passed out in the sixth inning Friday night after getting two outs against Houston. He was helped by team medical personnel and on-site EMTs and regained consciousness before he was taken to a hospital by ambulance. The White Sox said additional testing revealed the brain hemorrhage caused by a ruptured aneurysm. Farquhar was receiving treatment and being closely monitored in the neurosurgical ICU unit at Rush University Medical Center. The team said it will provide updates on Farquhar’s health as appropriate, but requested privacy on behalf of his family.  ...Read more

Oakland A’s Sean Manaea Throws First No-Hitter Of 2018 Against Red Sox

Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea threw the first no-hitter of the 2018 MLB season Saturday against the Red Sox. With two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, Hanley Ramirez grounded into a fielder’s choice, completing Manaea’s no-hit bid and a 3-0 Oakland win. It’s the first time Boston has been no-hit since April 22, 1993, and the first no-no thrown by an A’s pitcher since Dallas Braden’s perfect game in 2010.  Manaea completed the feat in a tidy 136 minutes. He struck out 10 batters, walking two, on 108 pitches (75 strikes).  ...Read more
