Help Out Woodford Humane Society Saturday at Versailles Parade!

Girl Scout Troop 701 will be downtown Versailles on Saturday,  December 1st with a donations booth in front of the courthouse to benefit the Woodford County Humane Society from 3-7pm. They will also be walking in the Versailles Christmas Parade at 5pm to showcase the humane society’s wish list of donations and photos of some animals that would love to find their “fur”ever home.    ...Read more

House Democrats selected Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi as the nominee for speaker of the House on Wednesday in a closed-door meeting with the caucus. The nomination marks a win for Pelosi in her bid to reclaim the leadership position when Democrats take back control of the House in January 2019. On Wednesday it was announced that Ariana Grande is launching a new docuseries exclusively on YouTube. The four-part YouTube Original titled “Ariana Grande: Dangerous Woman Diaries” will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the singer’s career, including the making of her last album, “Sweetener,” and never-before-seen video from her Dangerous Woman Tour. ...Read more

MLB And MGM Resorts Form New Gaming Partnership

Major League Baseball has become the newest U.S. sports league to partner with a gaming operator on Tuesday. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred announced a multi-year deal with MGM Resorts International, which designates MGM as the first official gaming and entertainment partner of MLB. MGM sportsbooks will begin to utilize baseball’s official statistics feed and have access to enhanced stats on an exclusive basis. In addition, MLB intellectual property, like league and team logos, will appear in MGM advertising and at the company’s sportsbooks. UCF Quarterback McKenzie Milton Recovering From Nerve Damage

The family of Central Florida quarterback McKenzie Milton says he has nerve damage in his right leg, but “blood flow has been restored” and he is recovering from the injury suffered during UCF’s last game. Milton was taken off the field during the first half of the Knights‘ victory at South Florida on Friday after getting injured while being tackled. He has been treated at Tampa General Hospital.  ...Read more
