“Arrested Development” Season 4 Remix Coming To Netflix

Netflix will debut a re-cut edition of Arrested Development season 4 that at last puts the fragmented story in chronological order. Arrested Development creator Mitchell Hurwitz heard the complaints of fans about season 4 and promised a re-cut version that would put the episodes in chronological order. Now, as revealed on the Arrested Development Twitter, that re-cut is ready to come to Netflix. Hurwitz’s season 4 do-over goes by the title Arrested Development Season 4 Remix: Fateful Consequences. Arizona Teachers Continue Strike And Gather In The Thousands For Increased School Funding

In the third day of a statewide teacher walkout, Arizona educators gathered in the hundreds at the state’s capital and in other cities around the state to demand teacher raises and more school funding. Hundreds of schools have announced they will close, and the state legislature is expected to introduce a budget proposal soon to try to satisfy the teachers’ demands. The walkout has carried momentum of a national movement of teacher demonstrations, starting with a successful West Virginia teacher strike that began in February and continuing to Oklahoma, Kentucky, Arizona, and Colorado. On Thursday and Friday, the teachers and their supporters rallied in the thousands in temperatures over 90 degrees at the capitol to demand increased funding. Stormy Daniels Files Defamation Lawsuit Against President Trump

On Monday, adult film star Stormy Daniels filed another lawsuit against President Trump, accusing him of defaming her by dismissing as a “con job” her claim that she was threatened in 2011 after giving an interview about their alleged affair. Daniels, who says she had a sexual relationship with Trump in 2006, said in a televised interview that she was with her infant daughter when a man approached her in a Las Vegas parking lot, told her to “leave Trump alone.” Daniels never reported the incident to police, but after she talked about the parking lot encounter she released a sketch of the man two weeks ago.  Trump responded on Twitter: “A sketch years later about a nonexistent man. A total con job, playing the Fake News Media for Fools (but they know it)!”  Daniels filed a new lawsuit on Monday in the federal court in the Southern District of New York, saying Trump’s tweet is “false and defamatory.” Charles Harder, an attorney representing Trump, did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment. ...Read more

Minnesota Vikings Re-Sign Veteran Cornerback Terence Newman

On Monday the Minnesota Vikings announced it re-signed 15-year NFL veteran cornerback Terence Newman. Newman will play his fourth season in Minneapolis; and 16th overall. In his three seasons with the Vikings, Newman has compiled 110 tackles, 25 passes defensed and five interceptions. Newman, who will turn 40 in September, has only missed one game during his stint with Minnesota. Newman will also reunite with head coach Mike Zimmer. Newman will now be coached by Zimmer in 10 of his 16 professional seasons, going back to his rookie year in Dallas where Zimmer served as the defensive coordinator. Newman will also be the oldest active defensive player in the NFL and ranks second among all active players with 42 career interceptions. ...Read more

LA Police Investigating Domestic Incident Involving Raiders LT Donald Penn

Los Angeles police are investigating an alleged domestic violence incident involving Raiders left tackle Donald Penn. No charges have been filed in the incident and no arrests have been made, police said. LAPD spokesperson Detective Meghan Aguilar said officers responded at about 9 p.m. Sunday to a radio call of a domestic violence incident. Officers met with a victim upon arrival and completed a domestic violence report that listed Penn as the suspect. Penn and his wife, Dominique, had issued the following statement: “There was a verbal disagreement, there was NO physical altercation. The two are in the middle of a divorce and it is a hard time for both parties.” Penn signed a two-year extension with the Raiders last September that runs through the 2019 season. He started 14 games last season and made the Pro Bowl despite finishing the season on injured reserve and is returning from foot surgery. ...Read more

Mariah Carey Announces New Las Vegas Residency ‘The Butterfly Returns’

Mariah Carey announced on Monday that she would return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for a new residency, “The Butterfly Returns,” beginning in July and extending through September. The Colosseum was home to Carey’s previous Vegas show, “Mariah #1 to Infinity,” which lasted from 2015-2017. The announcement comes on the heels of Carey sharing her struggle with bipolar disorder. Carey has also been teasing new music on social media, promising an album release later this year.  Tickets for “The Butterfly Returns” go on sale this Friday. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s latest #Hamildrop picks up the pace with “First Burn,” which Manuel confirmed in a tweet is “a first draft” of the Hamilton track “Burn,” is packed with features from Arianna Afsar, Julia Harriman, Lexi Lawson, Rachelle Ann Go and Shoba Narayan. LeBron James Scores 45 To Lead Cavaliers To 105-101 Victory Over Pacers In Game 7

LeBron James scored 45 points in Game 7 leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 105-101 win over the Indiana Pacers. The Cavs will open the conference semifinals on Tuesday at Toronto. James played 43 minutes, leaving late in the third quarter to be treated for cramps. Tristan Thompson made a rare start for the Cavs and added 15 points and 10 rebounds. T-Mobile and Sprint announced Sunday (April 29) that they will merge the two wireless companies, bringing the number of major cellphone companies to three. The combined company will be named T-Mobile.
