Breaking with tradition, Screen Actors Guild Awards committee has announced that the 2018 ceremony will be hosted by Kristen Bell. Lin-Manuel Miranda and his wife Vanessa Nadal are expecting their second child, he confirmed Sunday on Twitter. The Tony-winning creator of Hamilton and his wife stepped out on the red carpet at the 2017 London Evening Standard Theatre Awards, with Nadal sporting what appeared to be a baby bump. Geoffrey Rush Steps Down From Australian Film Academy Following Claim Of ‘Inappropriate Behavior’

Geoffrey Rush has stepped down from his position as president of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts after a claim of “inappropriate behavior” by the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor surfaced this week. The Associated Press and Australian media reported Saturday. Russell Simmons Steps Down from Companies After Second Sexual Assault Accusation

Russell Simmons is stepping down from his companies, including hip-hop label Def Jam and his clothing brands, after screenwriter Jenny Lumet accused him of sexual assault in a guest column for The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.  In a statement obtained in an email by Vanity Fair, Simmons apologized to Lumet and announced that he plans to “step aside and commit myself to continuing my personal growth, spiritual learning, and, above all to listening.” ...Read more

Jim Nabors, Singer and ‘Gomer Pyle’ Star, Dead at 87

Jim Nabors, the actor known for his role as the beloved “Gomer Pyle” on television comedies and for his booming operatic voice, has died. He was 87. Nabors, who starred as Gomer Pyle on “The Andy Griffith Show” in the early 1960s and went on to have his own spinoff show, died Thursday,  Husband Stan Cadwallader, who was by his side, told The Associated Press that Nabors died peacefully in his home in Hawaii.  ...Read more

James Beard Award-winning pastry chef and former judge of Top Chef: Just DessertsJohnny Iuzzini has been accused of sexual harassment by four former employees. Two pastry chefs and two unpaid externs who directly reported to Iuzzini at the famed Jean-Georges restaurant in New York City between 2009 and 2011 alleged a culture of sexual harassment perpetuated by the now 43-year-old chef. Jeremy Piven’s ‘Wisdom Of The Crowd’ Cancelled Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

CBS has cancelled Wisdom of the Crowd after a fourth woman accused star Jeremy Piven of sexual misconduct. The network will not put in an order for the last nine episodes. A source said that Wisdom producers were already told about the decision. All 13 episodes have already been produced and will still air.
