Michael Douglas Is Joined By Loved Ones, Including His Father Kirk Douglas, At Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony

Oscar-winning actor Michael Douglas was presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week, surrounded by family and friends, including his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, his son Cameron Douglas, and his father, star Kirk Douglas. Jane Fonda, Eric McCormack, Andy Garcia and Douglas’ former agent Ron Meyer were also present at the event. During the ceremony, Michael gave a heartfelt speech about having his loved ones by his side for the big moment, saying, “Let’s face it, this is a great honor and I’m not getting any younger. I’m going to enjoy it with my wife and my son and my caretakers and my great-great-grandkids.” Mentioning wife Zeta-Jones, he added, “I’m grateful for your support and your love and your patience. By the way, in another week we are celebrating our 18th anniversary, so thank you for the best 18 years of my life, sweetheart!” When addressing his famous father, Douglas said, “My dad is here. In a month, Kirk will be 102 years old! It means so much to me, Dad, that you’re here today. Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Going To Trial In Child Custody Case

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are heading to court over thecustody of their children. According to court documents, the trial is set to begin on December 4. Jolie and Pitt separated in September 2016 after two years of marriage, and filed for divorce shortly after. The former-couple have six children together, ranging from ages 10 to 17. Since the time of their split, the duo’s mutually agreeable custody arrangement has been a point of contention for the two starts.  Jolie has sought sole custody, while Pitt is seeking joint custody. HBO’s “Deadwood” Has Begun Production On Long-Awaited Movie

HBO announced this week that production has begun in Los Angeles on the highly anticipate Deadwood movie. A press release stated: “The indelible characters of the series are reunited after 10 years to celebrate South Dakota’s statehood. Former rivalries are reignited, alliances are tested and old wounds are reopened, as all are left to navigate the inevitable changes that modernity and time have wrought.” Series start Ian McShane, Timothy Olyphant, Molly Parker, Paula Malcomson, John Hawkes, Anna Gunn, Dayton Callie, Brad Dourif, Robin Weigert, William Sanderson, Kim Dickens and Gerald McRaney will all be returning for the movie.The followup was written by David Milch and will be directed by Daniel Minahan. Idris Elba Named People’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ For 2018

People magazine has named Idris Elba as 2018’s Sexiest Man Alive. The British actor, who has starred in movies such as “The Wire” and “Luther,” was surprised after being crowned this year’s winner, according to the magazine. Elba’s selection was revealed on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” with the actor appearing via satellite from London. Elba said of his selection, “My mom is going to be very, very proud.”  Past winners of People’s title have included Dwayne Johnson, David Beckham, Chris Hemsworth, Adam Levine, Channing Tatum and country singer Blake Shelton. Demi Lovato Spotted Out Of Rehab 3 Months After Overdose

More than three months after she was hospitalized due to an apparent drug overdose, singer Demi Lovato is reportedly out of rehab and was spotted out to dinner in Los Angeles over the weekend. Lovato was seen dining with designer Henri Alexander Levy on Saturday night, and she also was recently been seen by fans at a Beverly Hills spa and at Universal Studio’s Halloween Horror Nights. In photos posted by TMZ, Lovato is seen smiling at Levy and holding his hand across the table at the popular celebrity eatery Matsuhisa. Lovato’s stay in rehab had been expected to extend for several months, according to sources. Back in July, Lovato was found unconscious in her Hollywood Hills home in July after a near-fatal overdose. She entered a treatment facility, her third rehab stint, following a two-week hospital stay. ...Read more

The Spice Girls — consisting of Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton, Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell Horner, Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm and Melanie “Mel B” Brown — announced their United Kingdom reunion tour Monday, on the official Spice Girls Twitter account. The four ladies appeared in the video without Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham, in a video spoof that announced news of the tour. The foursome will be joined by a special guest, singer Jess Glynne. The Spice Girls officially split in 1998 after becoming one of the UK’s biggest girl groups ever. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale Saturday at 5:30 a.m. ET. ...Read more

Legendary singer Andrea Bocelli has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for the first time with his latest studio album Si. The album moved 126,000 equivalent album units in its first week, with 123,000 of those being traditional album sales. This is Bocelli’s first No. 1 album, and his 26th studio album overall. It’s more than 20 years since his first time making his debut on the charts with Romanza in 1997, and it’s also his largest sales week since 2009. The Freddie Mercury biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody,” starring Rami Malek as the late Queen frontman, defied mediocre reviews to debut with $50 million in weekend ticket sales in the United States and Canada, and another $72.5 million internationally, according to studio estimates Sunday. These numbers were well beyond expectations, which were expected to be closer to $35-40 million in its opening weekend. Julianne Hough To Play Jolene In Dolly Parton Anthology Show For Netflix

Julianne Hough of Dancing With the Stars fame has been cast as Jolene, the infamous man-stealer from Parton’s song of the same name, in the new anthology show from Netflix, called Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings. The eight-part anthology show is set to adapt the stories and inspirations behind Parton’s most iconic hits. According to press releases, Jolene is described as “a flirtatious free-spirit with aspirations of escaping her small hometown of Coventry, GA to follow her dreams of becoming a successful singer-songwriter.” Parton will play Babe, a “sparkly force of nature” who runs the local honky-tonk bar where Jolene works as a waitress and acts as a mother-figure. In addition to Hough and Parton, Kimberly Williams-Paisley will play local wife and mother Emily, whose life changes when she becomes president of the Coventry Women’s League, and Dallas Roberts will play Aaron, a husband in the midst of a midlife crisis. Naomi Watts Cast In HBO ‘Game of Thrones’ Prequel Show

The next chapter of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” will star Naomi Watts. The pilot for the network’s prequel has cast Watts to star in the project, from creators Jane Goldman and George R.R. Martin. According to HBO, Watts will play “a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret in the drama pilot.” The pilot (and hopefully potential series) will be set thousands of years before the events seen in the current series, and chronicle the world’s “descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour,” according to a description of the show. Goldman will also serve as showrunner on the series. HBO ordered the pilot for the prequel back in June. Meanwhile, the final season of “Game of Thrones” is scheduled to air sometime in 2019. ...Read more
