Yard waste collections running behind schedule

Yard waste collections running behind schedule

LEXINGTON, KY. (April 4, 2018) – The Division of Waste Management is currently running yard waste routes on non-collection days due to increased amounts of yard waste for this time of year. The Division is also seeking to fill driver positions as soon as possible to make up for staffing shortages directly related to yard waste routes.

The Division asks for continued patience over the next few weeks as they use Wednesdays and Saturdays to catch up with routes that may be running behind. Residents are asked to continue to place yard waste carts, bundles and bags out for pickup on their regular collection day, leaving them at the curb until they can be serviced by city yard waste crews. Residents can also report any missed pickups that do not occur within a few days of the regularly scheduled collection day to LexCall at 3-1-1 or (859) 425-2255, or online at www.lexingtonky.gov/lexcall/ServiceRequest.
